Previous BJP politician Navjot Singh Sidhu met Congress VP Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi today in the midst of theory of the cricket-turned-government official joining the Congress soon. The two had met before in December, months after Mr Sidhu surrendered as individual from the BJP. Mr Sidhu is relied upon to be the Congress' star campaigner should he join the party in front of the Punjab surveys, booked for February 4.

It is trusted that Mr Sidhu has requested four to five party seats for his partners and additionally assignments for himself and his better half, other than the Amritsar parliamentary seat - emptied by Punjab Congress boss Amarinder Singh.
